UCS 500N5 - Compact Tester for EFT/Burst, Surge and Power Fail
The UCS 500N5 ultra-compact simulator is the most versatile tester to cover transient
and power fail requirements according to international standards (basic and generic
standards) and product/product family standards. The UCS 500N5 is the most economic
solution for tests during development as well as for full-compliant immunity tests
and CE Marking for single phase DUT with the ability to be extended for testing
three-phase DUTs by means of an automatically controlled external coupling network
up to 100A.
EM TEST supplies a large range of accessories for the various applications such
as magnetic field tests.
Benefits
All in one - All what you need for your tests
The UCS 500N5 includes everything necessary to conduct fully compliant tests. The
power mains supply for the controls and for the DUT is separate to render it more
flexible to use with different DUT supply voltages.
The UCS 500N5 can be operated manually from the front panel or by remote via the
built-in USB or GPIB interface. Fail inputs allow to control an ongoing test sequence
based on the status of the DUT. Monitoring outputs (BNC) are offered for easy signal
measurement and verification. Safety features such as interlock and warning lamp
control are available.
Pre-programmed Standard Test routines allow highest user convenience. Still the
UCS 500N5 offers the Quick Start test routine where parameters can be changed on-line
during the test to evaluate the susceptibility level of an individual DUT.

OCS 500N6 Datasheet
|
Application
OCS 500N6 - Compact tester for Ringwave and Damped Oscillatory Waves
The OCS 500N6 includes test capabilities for ringwave up to 6kV (as per EN/IEC 61000-4-12)
and the damped oscillatory waves at 100kHz and 1MHz up to 3kV (as per EN/IEC 61000-4-18).
The Ringwave is a non-repetitive damped oscillatory transient occurring in low-voltage
power, control and signal lines supplied by public and non-public networks. Damped
Oscillatory Waves are repetitive transients mainly occurring in power, control and
signal cables installed in high voltage and medium voltage stations.
The OCS 500N6 can also be used to perform magnetic field tests as required in EN/IEC
61000-4-10 using a magnetic field coil such as the MS 100N.
Benefits
Three In One - The OCS 500N6 combines Ringwave and Damped Oscillatory Waves
The OCS 500N6 is the standalone tester that perfectly complements the EM TEST product
range for tests as per EN/IEC 61000-4-x.
Equipped with the Ringwave capability of up to 6kV it also complies with the Ringwave
requirements of the American ANSI/IEEE C62.41 standard.
The two Damped Oscillatory Waves with 100kHz and 1MHz frequency reach 3kV each.
The Damped Oscillatory Waves not only comply with EN/IEC 61000-4-18 requirements
but also correspond with the requirements to test protective relays and relay systems
as per ANSI/IEEE C39.70.
The Damped Oscillatory Waves are also used to generate magnetic fields as per EN/IEC
61000-4-10 into a magnetic field coil (e.g. MS 100N).
The OCS 500N6 comes with a built-in coupling/decoupling network for either single
phase or three-phase and is rated for currents of 16A or 32A per line.
The OCS 500N6 can be operated manually from the front panel or by remote via the
built-in USB or GPIB interface. Fail inputs allow to control an ongoing test sequence
based on the status of the EUT. Monitoring outputs (BNC) are offered for easy signal
measurement and verification. Safety features such as interlock and warning lamp
control are available.
Pre-programmed Standard Test routines allow highest user convenience. Still the
OCS 500N6 offers the Quick Start test routine where parameters can be changed on-line
during the test to evaluate the susceptibility level of an individual DUT.

Application
Ultra-Compact Simulator for Automotive Transients for Pulses 1, 2 and 3a/3b
The UCS 200N Ultra-Compact Simulator for Automotive Transients unifies the capabilites
of an EFT/Burst simualtor, a Micropulse simulator and the required coupling network
into one box. The UCS 200N is equiped to meet all international and car manufacturer
specifications from around the globe. The built-in coupling network ranges up to
200A depending on the model. The built-in coupling network can be used and controlled
by any unit of the LD 200N series, VDS 200N series and PFS 200N series. For tests
beyond standard's requirements the waveform parameters of the Micropulse generator
can be varied in a wide range by means of the FreeStyle mode.
Benefits
Smartest Solution for Automotive Transient Testing
Never before an Ultra-Compact Simulator for automotive transient testing like the
UCS 200N was available. All international standards and most car manufacturer requirements
have been put into one box. All pulses are fully compliant to the specifications.
Even more, the waveform parameters for micropulses can be varied in order to test
with pulses beyond any standard specification. The UCS 200N is the heart of the
redesigned EM TEST Automotive test set-up having the ability to control any external
EM TEST Load Dump and Battery Supply simulator. The built-in coupling network for
nominal DC currents of up to 200A forms the single-port DUT connection for fully
automated tests. The software iso.control with its extensive standards library put
this test equipment to the top with almost unlimited test capabilities.
