Automotive EMC Test Soultions
The automotive industry has very specific and permanently changing requirements
for EMC testing with pulses and waveforms getting more and more complex. As the
leading manufacturer of automotive test equipment and member of various national
and international standard working groups, EM TEST knows the present and the future
demands of the car industry. The automotive test equipment listed are well designed
to meet the EMC testing requirements of the automotive industry - today and tomorrow.

ESD Generators
Electrostatic discharge are likely to affect or even destroy electronic components
and circuits. EM TEST offers ESD test generators for air and contact discharges
up to 30kV as per EN/IEC 61000-4-2 as well as for automotive test requirements.
EFT / Burst Generators
EM TEST offers high-end EFT/burst generators with maximum pulse amplitude and spike
frequency capabilities, best user convenience and built-in coupling/decoupling networks,
strictly conforming with the latest requirements of EN/IEC 61000-4-4. Apart from
standalone EFT/burst generators multi-functional generators with additional testing
capabilities (e.g. Surge, PowerFail and Ringwave) are available as compact solutions.
Combination Wave / Surge Generators
Surge pulses occur due to direct or indirect lightning strokes to an external (outdoor)
circuit. This leads to currents or electromagnetic fields causing high voltage or
current transients. Another source for surge pulses are switching transients originating
from switching disturbances and systems faults. Due to the characteristic of the
phenomenon nearly every electrical and electronical device may suffer from such
lightning events which justifies the necessity of surge tests being widely performed.
Surge voltage can reach several thousands of volts and surge current is seen to
reach several thousands of amps. EM TEST offers a wide range of Combination Wave
generators with different output voltage ranges for various test requirements:
Conducted LF / RF Immunity Testing
EM TEST offers a variety of testing solutions for conducted LF/RF immunity as per
EN/IEC 61000-4-6, for BCI (bulk current injection) and magnetic field tests, ripple
noise and common-mode testing as per EN/IEC 61000-4-16.

Power Quality Testing
Voltage dips, short interruptions and variations of voltage and frequency in supply
systems can considerably affect electrical and electronic systems. EM TEST supplies
fully compliant solutions for to simulate the various supply voltage anomalies:
Multifunctional Generators (Immunity)
The EM TEST modular multifunctional test generators are the ideal starting point
to set up an EMC test facility. Most versatile to meet many requirements but also
most ecomomic in terms of cost they are designed for fully compliant conducted immunity
testing. The following "all-in-one" solutions are available to meet your test requirements:
Harmonics & Flicker
Today's power supplies power regulation systems cause harmonics and interharmonics
being fed back into the public supply system. EM TEST offers dedicated solutions
for measuring and analysing harmonics and flicker for your needs:
Telecom Surge Generators
Telecom networks and connected telecom systems and devices are subject to lightning
strokes and other disturbances and therefore require an effective and carefully
selected protection. The EM TEST Telecom Surge generators are specifically desinged
to meet the various requirements laid out by ITU, FCC and Telcordia/Bellcore
Voltage Surge Generators
EM TEST supplies a variety of Voltage Surge generators for safety testing and isolation
withstand capability testing. Specifically designed solutions are available for
testing audio, video and other ITE products, for testing photovoltaic panels and
for protection relays etc.:
Coupling Networks for EMC Testing
EM TEST offers a large variety of coupling/decoupling networks for different test
applications for single phase and three-phase mains supplies as well as for signal/data
lines and telecommunication lines. Apart from the standard coupling/decoupling networks
EM TEST also provides special solutions for higher supply voltages (e.g. 3x690VAC
or up to 1,000V DC) and higher currents (up to 100A and more) or for higher surge
voltages up to 12kV.
