Application

EFT 500N5 - EFT/Burst tester

The EFT 500N5 is the state-of-the-art EFT/Burst tester with a built-in coupling/decoupling network for single phase or three-phase mains supply lines and a HV terminal to connect a capacitive coupling clamp.

The spike frequency can be varied from as low as 100Hz up to 1,000kHz. The EFT 500N5 is capable to generate 10,000 spikes per second or up to 1,000 spikes per burst. Its performance fully complies with IEC 61000-4-4 Ed.2:2004. Pre-programmed Standard Test routines and a number of selected User Test routines make the EFT 500N5 an optimum standalone solution for both testing during development and final testing of products and sub-assemblies.

Benefits

EFT 500N5 - The Burst/EFT generator that goes beyond specification

The wide ranges offered to adjust the spike frequency and the burst duration are well-known for many years. Of course, the EFT 500N5 meets the latest waveform requirements into load at the coaxial 50ohm output as well as at the DUT port in common mode operation unlike other generators. The EFT 500N5 is the true, fully compliant EFT/Burst tester.

It is unlike any other ESD generators. Its ergonomic design is recognised to be more user-friendly. There is no part of dito that hides the discharge tip while watching the display or operating the dito. You see where you point the tip no matter how you direct dito to the DUT.

Different models of the standalone EFT 500N5 are avialable. It can be ordered with a built-in single phase coupler as well as with a built-in three-phase coupler for rated DUT currents up to 50A.

The EFT 500N5 can also be integrated in a complete test system in combination with other generators of the EM TEST 500 series and operate via a common coupling/decoupling network being equipped with the corresponding control interface.

CNI 508N1 Datasheet

Application

CNI 508N1 - The unique coupling/decoupling network for shielded high-speed communication lines

The EM TEST CNI 508N1 is the first coupling/decoupling network available on the market to couple Surge, Ringwave and EFT/Burst pulses onto shielded high-speed communication lines with data rates up to 1,000MBit/s in a single unit.

The CNI 508N1 can be used for test voltages of up to 4kV. For tests using the 1.2/50us surge the CNI 508N1 is based on IEC 61000-4-5(2005).

Additionally, it fully supports PoE and PoE+ standard requirements as per IEEE 802.3af-2003 and IEEE 802.3at-2009.

Benefits

CNI 508N1 - Single box for Surge/Ringwave/Burst coupling onto shielded high-speed communication lines

The EM TEST CNI 508N1 is a specifically designed and approved coupling/decoupling network for tests of shielded high-speed communication lines.

By means of the CNI 508N1 Surge pulses (1.2/50us) as per IEC/EN 61000-4-5, Ringwave (0.5us/100kHz) as per IEC/EN 61000-4-12 and EFT/Burst pulses (5/50ns as per IEC/EN 61000-4-4) can be coupled. A maximum test voltage of 4kV can be applied to the lines under test.

Its unique design allows data rates of up to 1,000MBit/s to be transmitted without degradation by the coupling/decoupling network. The CNI 508N1 complies to PoE requirements as per IEEE 802.3af-2003 as well to P0E+ (PoE plus) requirements as per IEEE 802.3at-2009 with a current of up to 600mA and a power of up to 25.5W.

The integrated decoupling network protects the auxiliary equipment limiting the residual voltage to max. 15V at 2kV test voltage. The CNI 508N1 is fitted with female RJ45 connectors to connect telecommunication devices.
