Redundant Rubidium Reference Standards

Quartzlock's redundancy switches and multiple, hot-swappable rubidium frequency standards keep your mission critical equipment online - locally or at remote, unstaffed locations.

Quartzlock redundant rubidum reference standard A1000-3R

A1000-3R

The Quartzlock A1000-3R redundant rubidium frequency reference is a 10MHz, high-stability standard featuring multiple rubidium oscillators with phase aligned outputs. In the event of a rubidium failure, the failed unit can be exchanged during operation. The new rubidium joins the ensemble when warm. No phase hit or step in frequency registers at the output.

Features

  • Three rubidium oscillators in a redundant system
  • Hot swap option
  • Multiple PSU switch option
  • External dc BBU battery back-up option
  • Low phase noise
  • Low drift
  • High stability
  • 3 Year warranty

Quartzlock redundant rubidum reference standard A4000

A4000

The Quartzlock A4000 redundant switch is a 1U, 19” rack mount unit that switches automatically from a primary to a secondary source.

Inputs

There are four inputs on the rear of the instrument - two signal and two DC control. The inputs are a primary source (A) and a secondary source (B). These sources are switched, dependant on the control input, one for the primary (A) and the other for the secondary (B).

The control lines are 0 ~ 5v DC active high (+5v DC).

Outputs

There is one single signal output on the rear panel. This is the output from either signal input, dependant on the control input

Typical uses

The Quartzlock A4000 is installed in many remote, unmanned telecommunications base stations to ensure continuous time and frequency standards are available for mission critical applications.

Specification

  • Voltage - 220-240V AC
  • Frequency - 40-50Hz
  • Power Characteristics - 300mA Max
  • Ambient Operating Temperature - -10C to +55C (-65 to +65 optional)

Interface

Inputs

a) Signal A & B 1 - 100 MHz sine wave, 10 dBm nom into 50W nom.
b) Control A & B 0 - 5v Control Line Active High

Outputs

a) Signal A or B dependant on control A & B
